Unit Context:
Digital Solutions (ITSDS)  
The Digital Solutions team delivers modern productivity, collaboration, and endpoint solutions to over 30,000 users. We support Microsoft 365, WebEx, Power Platform, and AI tools like Copilot, Google Gemini, and Grammarly, while engineering, deploying, and supporting Windows Endpoints. We are a collaborative, customer-focused team committed to solving problems with reliable, impactful technology.
Duties and accountabilities: 
Role Overview 
As our Associate Power Platform Engineer, you will lead the modernization of enterprise applications and enable a robust citizen development ecosystem. You will design, develop, and support scalable solutions across Dataverse, Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio, and Power Pages, while integrating with Azure App Service (C#/.NET). You will provide technical leadership and collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure solutions.
Key Responsibilities
• End-to-End Development: Architect and build complex solutions using the full Power Platform stack and Azure-based custom integrations.

• Citizen Development Enablement: Provide hands-on guidance, mentorship, and technical guardrails for citizen developers.

• Integration & Customization: Develop custom connectors and integrate with C#/.NET, REST APIs, and legacy enterprise systems.

• ALM & DevOps: Own the ALM process, including Git source control, CI/CD pipelines, and environment provisioning.

• Governance & Security: Enforce DLP policies, security best practices, and tenant-wide compliance with security teams.

• Platform Resilience: Monitor capacity, performance, and environment health for high availability and scalability.

• Strategic Documentation: Create best practices, architecture blueprints, and training materials to standardize development.
Technical Skills
Platform Engineering & Automation
• Expert-level knowledge of Dataverse, Power Automate (Cloud & Desktop), Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), and Copilot Studio.

• Proven CI/CD pipeline implementation, automated testing, and deployment processes.

Cloud & Integration
• Proficiency in C#/.NET for custom plugins, Azure Functions, and Web Apps.

• Deep understanding of cloud-native architecture, identity management (IAM), and secure API integration.

Data & Governance
• Relational data modeling in Dataverse and complex ETL workflows (Power Automate or Azure Data Factory).

• Environment-level security, RBAC, platform monitoring, logging, and organizational compliance.

Professional Competencies
• Architectural Guardrails: Balance rapid delivery with long-term platform stability and security.

• Strategic Translation: Bridge non-technical business requirements and technical implementation.

• Extreme Ownership: Commitment to reliability, performance, and lifecycle of every deployed solution.
Mentorship & Evangelism: Passion for teaching and driving the cultural shift toward a Low-Code/No-Code first mindset.

Selection Criteria

Education & Experience: 
• Master's degree with 5 years of experience or a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
Technical & Strategic Leadership
• Demonstrated success designing, architecting, and supporting enterprise-grade Power Platform and Azure solutions.

• Deep understanding of the Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and modern DevOps practices.

• Advanced analytical skills to troubleshoot complex flows and integration bottlenecks.
Collaboration & Communication
• Ability to influence decision-makers and provide technical leadership to cross-functional teams.

• Proven ability to coach teams and empower citizen developers while maintaining platform governance.

Recommended Certifications 
• Microsoft 365 Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate / Microsoft Power Platform Solution Architect

• SAFe DevOps Practitioner / SAFe Practitioner 

• ITIL v4 Foundation
