The Finance and Operations Manager is a pivotal leadership role responsible for the financial health, operational efficiency, and administrative integrity of ILGA Asia. Based in Bangkok, this position ensures that all financial activities are conducted in compliance with Thai regulations, international accounting standards, and donor requirements — while actively supporting the organisation’s programmatic goals across Asia.

This role requires a proactive professional who can balance strategic financial oversight with hands-on day-to-day management, and who is comfortable operating in a mission-driven, regional NGO environment.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; CPA or equivalent professional qualification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in financial management, with at least 2 years in a senior or leadership finance role.
  • Solid knowledge of Thai tax regulations, statutory requirements, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience working in an international NGO, regional organisation, or donor-funded environment is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience managing sub-grants, donor compliance, and multi-currency financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks, Sage, or equivalent) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience managing office operations, vendor contracts, and administrative systems in a regional or international organisation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in both Thai and English.
