BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT

To coordinate and perform monitoring activities within a specific coverage area and provide reports to support the effective delivery of assistance packages.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):


1. Assist Field Office management in preparing the monthly and annual field monitoring plan for McGovern-Dole School Feeding Programme. Support in finalizing monthly process monitoring plan in coordination with SFP (School Feeding Programme) team.
2. Verify the planned movements and distribution of food or non-food items, resolving routine issues and escalating where appropriate, to ensure that the quantity distributed and the quality of the operation is in line with WFP standards.
3.  Collect and summarise school-based assistance programme(s) data, collaborating with cooperating partners where required, conduct analysis and prepare reports to support programme reviews and informative decision-making.
4.  Liaise with cooperating partners and internal counterparts to gather feedback and comments to support programme reviews and improve services.
5. Guide and review CPs annual monitoring plan, KoBo based monitoring checklist/tools and monthly monitoring reports in aligning with programme result indicator. Suggest improvements to field monitoring processes and procedures for efficient implementation of the SFP. 
6. Provide standard training for cooperating partners on WFP operational practices, monitoring tools and methods to support them to independently self-monitor and to contribute to the visibility of WFP in the coverage areas.
7. Prepare monthly monitoring reports for School Feeding programme by highlighting key monitoring findings and required corrective actions.
8. Update monitoring findings tracker and follow up with supervisor and SFP team to ensure corrective actions on those issues.
9. Follow set emergency response processes and procedures for emergency food assistance.
10. Guide CPs to implement the Community Feedback Mechanism (CFM) system by providing tollfree hotline numbers to receive complaints and feedback from the field for resolution.
11. Assist Field Office SFP programme and other functional unit to assess the CP performance using a standard template.
12. Any other tasks as required and approved by the Head of Field Office, M&E Officer/ Process Monitoring Officer.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
 
Education: Completion of University Degree (bachelor's or equivalent) is required.  Education in Development Studies, Social Science, Humanities or any relevant field is preferable. 
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in areas related to Monitoring and Evaluation or in any related field.
Language: Fluency in spoken and written both in English and Bangla language.
