Senior Assistant-Security Services
ICRISAT invites applications from dynamic and motivated Indian nationals for the position of Senior Assistant-Security Services, to support the Security Services Department under the Corporate Services Program. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring comprehensive security coverage of the Institute during the assigned shift through effective monitoring, supervision, and reporting mechanisms. The selected candidate will oversee a team of Security Assistants and ensure they are provided with the necessary logistical and operational support as required. In the event of any safety or security concern, the Senior Executive will be expected to take timely and appropriate action, coordinating with the available security team to effectively mitigate and neutralize potential threats. The position is based at ICRISAT Headquarters, Patancheru, Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

ICRISAT conducts research on its mandate crops of chickpea, pigeonpea, groundnut, sorghum, pearl millet and finger millet in the arid and semi-arid tropics. The Institute focuses its work on the drylands and in protecting the environment. Tropical dryland areas are usually seen as resource-poor and perennially beset by shocks such as drought, thereby trapping dryland communities in poverty and hunger and making them dependent on external aid. Responsibilities:
Carry out security duties at various locations on the farm.
Carry out special tasks as deemed necessary for the protection and safe custody of ICRISAT property
Perform shift duties along with a team of experienced security assistants under the direct supervision of a security supervisor.
Inspection of all the security equipment for serviceability.
Carry out regular patrolling of the property during the shift.
Ensure that the relevant rules and regulations of the Institute are adhered to at all times.
Eligibility and Qualifications:
Retired Ex. Service Men from the Armed Forces/ Paramilitary Force/ TA with at least 10-20 years’ experience in security services.
Minimum 10th pass and higher educational qualification is preferred.
Good interpersonal, written and communication skills both in English and Telugu.
Should be a good team player and have experience working in a multicultural team.
Strong problem-solving skills.
2-wheeler/4-wheeler valid driving license.
General:
This is a contractual role for a period of 36 months (3 years), renewable based on the performance of the incumbent and the institute’s continuing need for the position.
