Are you ready for a career with a lasting impact?

The World Bank Group’s Young Professionals Program (YPP) offers exceptional professionals from around the world the opportunity to apply their specialized technical expertise, broaden their experience, and contribute to solutions to some of the most pressing development challenges. Young Professionals (YPs) work across the World Bank, IFC, MIGA, and ICSID in support of our mission to create a world free of poverty on a livable planet. For more than 60 years, this highly competitive program has selected outstanding professionals to contribute to the institution’s work and develop as future leaders in global development.

We seek candidates who demonstrate strong leadership potential, exceptional technical skills, and a clear commitment to our mission and values. As a YP, you will collaborate with colleagues across disciplines and institutions, applying your expertise to help address pressing development challenges and improve lives around the world.

YPs join the World Bank Group on an initial two-year term contract, renewable subject to satisfactory performance. During this period, YPs complete three eight-month rotations: one with their primary function and area of expertise, one cross-institutional rotation, and at least one rotation based in a country office.  These assignments enable YPs deepen their technical and operational knowledge while gaining experience across different areas of the institution.

Through the YP Academy, YPs undertake a structured learning and development journey that includes technical and operational training, language programs, negotiation and business skills, and leadership development. They also receive individual coaching, connect with mentors, and participate in strategic dialogues with senior leaders.

The Information and Technology Solutions (ITS) Vice Presidency leverages technology to strengthen World Bank Group operations and development impact. Within ITS, the WBG Corporate Solutions Department (ITSCO) drives digital transformation across corporate services through process optimization, product delivery, automation, data analytics, and AI.

The ITSCX Corporate Services team supports Global Corporate Solutions (GCS), Controllers (CTR), Corporate Security, and related corporate functions. Its portfolio includes technology supporting real estate and facilities, security, travel, business services, and other staff-facing operations globally.
You will work with ITS/CO/CX teams and business partners to improve corporate service delivery through process redesign, data-driven insights, automation, and responsible AI. Initial priorities will include Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Security, and Business Services—global functions central to staff experience, resilience, and effective WBG operations.

What You’ll Deliver

• Contribute to the transformation agenda: Support the assessment of Real Estate, Corporate Security, and Business Services processes; use operational data to map pain points and help identify priority transformation and technology opportunities.
• Support service redesign: Help develop future-state process designs that combine AI, automation, and data-driven workflow orchestration to deliver more proactive, efficient, and staff-centered services.
• Advance applied AI innovation: Research, analyze, and help prototype agentic AI use cases that streamline workflows, support staff decision-making, and strengthen institutional knowledge capture.
• Enable data-driven decisions: Work with data from WBG platforms — including SAP, ServiceNow, and corporate data lakes — to develop insights, performance measures, and analytical inputs for business cases and senior management discussions.
• Support stakeholder engagement: Participate in and help facilitate working sessions across GCS, CTR, Corporate Security, and ITSCX to ensure solutions are grounded in operational reality and positioned for adoption.
• Contribute to implementation planning: Assist in developing phased roadmaps, milestones, and success measures that move priority initiatives from concept toward scaled delivery.

What You’ll Bring

• A minimum of a Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field combining business and technology disciplines.
• 2-6 years of relevant experience in business process transformation, digital enablement, or operational change in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AI, automation, and agentic AI frameworks — evidenced by relevant certification, accreditation, or formal training in AI/ML, applied AI, prompt engineering, intelligent automation, or data science from a recognized institution or technology provider.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and document end-to-end business processes using structured methods such as Lean, Design Thinking, Agile, or BPMN, translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Comfort working with data and technology systems to support analysis, track performance, and inform decisions; familiarity with enterprise tools such as SAP, ServiceNow, or business intelligence platforms is an advantage.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively across diverse, cross-functional teams and organizational boundaries; experience partnering with both business and technology stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes.
• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to structure ambiguous challenges and contribute to implementation plans, investment inputs, and outcome measures.
• Knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) or comparable enterprise agile methodology is preferred.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills; able to work across business and technology teams and present findings to senior audiences.
• Demonstrated interest in the WBG mission and the use of technology to strengthen institutional effectiveness.
