Junior IT Specialist , Infrastructure and Cloud

NIB is making substantial progress in its transition to cloud-based technologies for its IT infrastructure. This transformation involves the adoption of numerous novel technologies, applications, and acronyms. To facilitate this transition and ensure the seamless operation of our current systems, we are actively seeking an IT Specialist to join our existing team of five dedicated professionals in the IT Infrastructure team.

The IT Infrastructure team holds the responsibility for overseeing the network, M365 platform, outsourced data centers, Azure Platform, and various other critical components. We also bear the operational duty to ensure the seamless daily functioning of these systems. Information Security is a top priority for us as well, and our team is tasked with delivering robust technical IT security for the entire NIB IT environment.

We are looking for a candidate who has some (1-2 years) experience with following:

  • Maintaining traditional IT Infrastructure e.g. servers and/or networks.
  • Working with M365 and/or Azure platform.
  • ITIL / Process oriented work / tickets.

Main responsibilities

  • Help to maintain high level IT Operations.
  • Undertake daily IT Infrastructure tasks: Checks, updates, tickets, access request, etc.
  • Participate in cloud (Azure/M365) development activities.
  • Work with external partners and consultants.
  • Participate in IT development projects as the IT Infrastructure representative.

Furthermore, we are not confined to isolation. We actively engage in numerous IT projects and have daily interactions with staff at all levels within NIB, including senior management. Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum 1-2 years of working experience supporting infrastructure solutions.
  • Experience of Microsoft enterprise solutions such as Windows Server, Active Directory, SQL Server, M365, Azure.
  • Team working skills, and also capability to work independently.
  • Good command of the English language. Skills in Finnish or Swedish languages is considered an asset.
  • A bachelor’s degree preferably in IT or related field.
