Our humanitarian and development projects impact the lives of many people in local communities, contributing directly to the development of the country and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). We assist communities in building resilience against recurrent challenges such as drought and floods, and we have the potential to deliver lifesaving emergency aid during disasters. Our comprehensive works include healthcare, water, sanitation, and hygiene, all of which are vital to improving the quality of life in vulnerable communities. Since its inception, Shahkar has been supporting the empowerment of women, youth, and children in the social, cultural, vocational, and technical fields, by creating targeted programs and projects for society to make a path toward socio-economic growth and lead to human development. Our programs, campaigns, and capacity development activities have supported more than 8,000 women, children, and men in different themes including awareness raising on violence against women and children, social awareness, governance, and health programs.
