The Director will provide strategic direction and vision across a multidisciplinary programme area of work within the Department of Noncommunicable Diseases; bringing cohesion to the Organization`s global health policies and organizational needs across the three levels of the Organization. The Director will politically position the work of the Department and act as the global representative and overall spokesperson of the Department, engaging internationally in dialogue with senior officials of global health organizations, as well as with Ministers of Health, Development Agencies, Donors and other stakeholders. The Director provides senior level advice and guidance to senior management and is accountable for the overall management and galvanization of Department teams to meet the objectives of the Organization

The Director will provide strategic direction and vision across a multidisciplinary programme area of work within the Department of Nutrition and Food Safety, bring cohesion to Organizations policies on food and nutrition and drive the action to improve diet, nutrition and food safety across the three levels of the organization. The Director will politically position the work of the Department and act as the global representative and overall spokesperson of the Department, engaging internationally in dialogue with senior officials of global health, food and nutrition organizations, as well as with Ministers of Health and Agriculture, Intergovernmental bodies, Development Agencies, Donors and other stakeholders. The Director provides senior-level advice and guidance to senior management and is accountable for the overall management and inspiration of Department teams and meet the objectives of the Organization.
