CTG is looking for a qualified Video Conference Technician for our operations. This role is being advertised for talent pool building purposes, once the project goes live, only those candidates that are shortlisted will be contacted.
Role objectivesThe Video Conference Technician will test, install & maintain the UN's video conference equipment. The equipment the staff will program, install, maintain & operate includes but not limited to:
Portable & fixed video conference terminals using IP, leased lines, satellite or ISDN connectivity.
LCD projectors & large plasma & LCD screens.
Audio & telephone equipment for video & teleconferencing.
Video conference bridges & ancillary equipment.
Digital video servers, monitoring cameras & audio / video streaming equipment.
General A / V equipment.
This role reports to the line manager.
Key competenciesStaff must have at least 5 years working experience on this type of equipment & have degree / certificate technical college.
All staff deployed to UN field missions must have a national drivers licence for a light motor vehicle & be able to drive light motor vehicles including 4 X 4 off road vehicles with manual transmission.
The ability to drive a motor vehicle will be verified on arrival in mission area by a practical drivers test to ensure that they can safely handle a motor vehicle.
Fluency in English, both written & oral, is required.
This role has no team management responsibility.
