Brief on the Organization:

The Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) is working towards building a healthier India. It is helping to address the limited institutional and systems capacity in India by strengthening education and training, advancing research and technology and facilitating policy and practice in the area of Public Health. PHFI is headquartered in New Delhi with national presence through its constituent units of regional Indian Institutes of Public Health (IIPHs) and Centers of Applied Research in core public health themes. The Foundation, established in 2006 as a public private initiative, is governed by an independent board comprising of senior government officials, eminent Indian and International academic and leaders, civil society representatives and corporate leaders. Project Brief

NIHR Global Health Research Centre for Multiple Long-term Conditions, funded by the National Institute for Health and Care Research UK, to establish a Centre for improving lives of people with multimorbidity or multiple long term conditions. Through research, community engagement and involvement and research capacity strengthening the Centre aims to improve patient care through co-designed intervention, which includes decision support system, assisted telemedicine and patient facing application. The Centre will build capacity of researchers and research supporting staff in the lead and co-applicant institutions.

Deliverables:

• Lead conceptualization of various qualitative research projects under the Centre.
• Draft the interview guides and standard operating procedures.
• Train field staff in collecting high quality and timely qualitative data.
• Ensure timely transcription and translation of the data.
• Lead the analysis of data and manuscript writing.
• Liaise with Research Manager, Research Associate and other Centre personnel.
• Mentor junior researchers including PhD fellows and post-doctoral candidates.
• Contribute to grant proposal development.
• Travel as required.
• Any other task assigned by the PI.

Qualification:

Essential:

• PhD in Public Health/Sociology or other allied fields.

Experience: Essential:

• Around 02 years of experience in conducting qualitative health research.
• Track record of publishing in high impact factor journals.
