The Head Creative Digital Multimedia Communications reports to the Director of Communications.
Responsibilities
Provides support in the planning, development and implementation of the digital social multimedia communication strategies aligned with the organization's mission and objectives. Identifies opportunities to leverage digital innovations or platforms, and methods for maximizing engagement through digital communication to deliver direct impact to Palestine refugees. Provides direction and guidance to the communication division and UNRWA agency-wide on digital production and multi-media packaging, ensuring that all inputs are appropriate and aligned with organizational objectives. Develops, oversees, and manages UNRWA’s website, social media sites, including Google +, Twitter and Facebook and other platforms as needed, works closely with the relevant staff and team to continuously improve UNRWA's digital outreach efforts. Maintains consistency across different platforms at all levels. Responsible for supervising the tasks and activities of the web developing to ensure that all social networking strategies are compliant with the established guidelines and standards of the organization's brand. Coordinates the integration of efforts among external partners, including advertising, media and digital agencies. Ensures smooth integration and alignment of objectives and activities between UNRWA and these partners, monitors the progress of these collaborations to ensure effective achievement of goals. Promotes capacity building within the communication team to develop their understanding and application of new emerging technologies, ensuring they stay updated with the latest knowledge in the field of audio-visual productions. Leads training activities for high quality multi-media materials production, provides coaching, and shares expertise. Supports the creation of training materials and guidelines.

Education
Advanced university degree (Master’s or equivalent) from an accredited educational institution digital production, journalism or related fields.
Job - Specific Qualification
Courses and certificates in any of the following programmes Adobe professional, final cut Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, Apple Final CutPro X, Motion, Compressor, Aperture, Logic Pro X and Cinema4D is desirable.
Work Experience
At least seven years of progressively responsible and relevant professional work experience in management and packaging of audio-visual productions in the MENA region is required. Experience sourcing and managing content development. And in graphic design, video editing, and multimedia production software is required. Unless already serving as an international staff member in the UN Common System, a candidate for an international post must have at least two continuous years of relevant international experience outside UNRWA, and outside the country(s) of which the candidate is a national or holds citizenship, a passport or a national identity number is required.
