Overview of position |
The ICT Project Support reports to the Chief of Engineering primarily involves project management roles & will be based in the Republic of South Sudan.

Role objectives |
Within the delegated authority from the Chief Engineer, the ICT Project Support will handle the following duties:
Project management:
Develop project specific data collection ICT filling system in the shared drive.
Prepare project file with specific deliverables clearly marked & outlined.
These files should be updated & shared as required.
A complete schedule of deliverables should be outlined & communicated to all stakeholders.
Plan, coordinate & monitor all construction activities end to end, ensuring all project information, data & deliverables are always captured & shared with all stakeholders.
Ensure that all project deliverables are understood, technical aspects & compliance as required, design, logistical issues, material requirements, all should be clearly indicated in a format that can easily be shared & communicated.
Oversees day to day operations of the project(s) across the mission involving construction of aviation, security, road, riverine & ICT infrastructure in conjunction with Project / Field Engineer during the implementation stage of the project.
Ensure that the project outputs are delivered within the specified project timelines, cost, quality, scope, risk & benefits.
Identify potential risks & challenges associated with the clients project, such as technology limitations, regulatory compliance issues & organizational resistance.
Develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
Oversee the implementation & deployment of UN systems, ensuring that installations are completed on time, within scope & according to quality standards.
Coordinate with IT teams & facilities management to ensure smooth rollout.
Establish quality standards & performance metrics for UN systems.
Conduct quality checks, audits & testing to ensure that project delivery meet specifications & delivers desired outcomes.
Ensure full cost capture & updating of the UMOJA AUC project management module.
Ensure that asset creation is completed & real estate is created in UMOJA.
Ensure all project closure documentation is finalized approved & uploaded in UMOJA.
Prepare analysis of available data for final annual reporting of projects using information collected in UMOJA & Power BI.
Participate in performing delegated tasks as will be assigned on projects as specified in the job description.

Key competencies |
University degree in project management, engineering or related field is desirable.
A minimum of five years of experience in the field of project management, engineering or in other related fields is required.
Two years of work experience at the international level is desirable.
Experience providing asset management & supply chain support services in a volatile, conflict or post conflict environment is desirable.
Experience working with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or similar in the areas of scheduling, inventory control, procurement & / or logistics processes is desirable.
Fluency in English is required.
Thorough technical knowledge of different waste management solutions, including on hazardous waste, ability to simplify complex information & communicate such information to less technically trained team members.
Good adaptability skills to find creative solutions depending on contexts.
