Job Overview:
The Operations Assistant works with the
Operations team, reporting to the operations Coordinator to support day-to-day
business operations and related administrative responsibilities for IRC’s
offices in Alkufra. The primary areas of responsibility are assisting with
fleet management, IT, and vendor procurement as well as tracking office
inventory, and assisting with facility improvements.
Major Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Support Operations team with fleet management, vendor
relations, and safety & security as needed.
• Support Operations team with paying office expenses,
troubleshooting IT equipment/services, and maintaining office equipment
inventory.
• Work with Field coordinator to assist with equipment
dispersal and other related onboarding tasks
• Provide coverage for front desk operations to ensure
clients and stakeholders are adequately served.
• Work closely with Operations team to support facility
renovations, moves, and related tasks.
• Assist with maintaining office supplies, processing
office supply requests, and managing inventory.
• Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Job Requirements:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent
required.
Work Experience:
• minimum of two years’ experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word,
Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data
entry, research, and problem-solving purposes; database familiarity is a plus.
• Proven organizational experience with the ability to
juggle multiple tasks, set priorities, effectively manage time, demonstrate
timeliness, and meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to effectively communicate and work as a team
member with collaborative partners, the community, and clients in a
cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal,
insured vehicle.
Working Environment:
• A combination of standard office environment, remote
work, and ‘field’ time within the service delivery area to perform the above
outlined responsibilities.
• Occasional domestic (non-local) travel required; up
to 10%.
• May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
