Position title : Monitoring and Evaluation Coordinator
Reporting to : National Director
Location : National Coordinating Office
Position summary
The job holder leads the designing, updating and implementation of a robust organizational Monitoring and Evaluation system for the effective implementation of programs and projects as well as be responsible for guiding and coordinating activities pertaining to M&E within the organization. S/he will also coordinate and support the data collection, analysis and interpretation process, preparation and consolidation of quality reports as well as the undertaking of various studies such as baseline, feasibility studies, end line evaluations, surveys etc.,. Besides, s/he, in consultation and collaboration with concerned staffs, will also initiate, support and implement M&E capacity building programs as part of enhancing organizational M&E system. Moreover, s/he will support the management in providing M&E findings and recommendations and taking evidence based decisions for enhanced organizational performance and accountability.
General aim of the position
Ensure the Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting activities are carried out as per the SOS-Kinderdorf International and SOS CV Monitoring and Evaluation policy, guideline, procedures and standards.
Priority Task and Responsibilities
- Supports dialogues/meetings with key donors to ensure that M&E issues are considered meaningfully and in a manner that can be achievable;
- Prepares strategic and annual planning by providing planning inputs (analyzed & interpreted data/information, performance indicators, NO and project specific target, etc.)
- Facilitates Quarterly, bi-annual and annual operational and strategic plan review processes
- Prepares, consolidation and submission of stakeholders’ reports as per agreed requirements and standards is ensured.
- Monitors activities to coordinate and inform evidence based for decision-making for Advisors, managers and other NMT colleagues
- Regular review of data capturing in PDB2, Prodigi and other databases, routine updates of Core assessments and care promise indicators
- Drive Results-based management compliance within the organization
- Build capacity to ensure organizational M&E system and policy is well understood among the program and other CYC staff
- ACC, SW’s, M&E Officer’ and other program staffs’ capacity development programs is supported to professionally undertake M&E activities.
- Oversee Quality Assurance by adopting appropriate mechanisms or strategies to support the continual quality improvement of M&E routine activities
- M&E plan and performance indicators development/updating is supported and implemented for effective organizational performance monitoring
- Undertake Feasibility studies, surveys, assessments, baselines, evaluations, etc., ensure that they are closely supported and monitored against organizational standards and requirements.
- Regularly review and improve the M&E system of the organization (if found necessary) by seeking inputs from the concerned colleagues
- Continuously share M&E lessons and good practices among the internal and external stakeholders and learning enhanced
- Develop/update and implement coordination of Organizational Theory of Change and Result Framework
- Coordinate and facilitate audit report findings
- Routinely undertake SOS care promise self-assessment for all program locations
- Performs other similar duties as assigned by the National Director.
JOB SPECIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Demography, Statistics, Economics, International Development, Evaluation Research, or in any other relevant social sciences qualifications with at least five (5) years’ work experience as M&E Officer.
OR
Bachelor’s degree in Monitoring and Evaluation, Demography, Statistics, Economics, International Development, Evaluation Research, Statistics, or in any other relevant social sciences qualifications with at least two (3) years’ work experience as M&E Coordinator.
Honor’s and/or Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
