DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Fulfil the Transport Needs of the YEET Project
- Carry out the driving requirements of the Project, as directed by the Project Coordinator, who is responsible for the coordination of vehicle use.
- Report any uncoordinated instructions or grievances resulting from being unduly pressurised, to the Project Coordinator.
- Conduct trips using the shortest possible routes. Unnecessary deviations and multiple trips should be avoided.
- Ensure that every trip is recorded on the vehicle log sheets.
- Ensure the Safety of the YEET Staff
- Drive responsibly and safely at all times.
- Drop-off (and arrange to pick-up) staff only where it is safe to do so.
Maintain the Safety & Security of the Project Vehicle Fleet
- Ensure the vehicle(s) is in good working order. Regularly check lights, indicators, brakes, tyre pressures, oil, battery and radiator. Report any defects to the Supervisor.
- Ensure that vehicle(s) always has sufficient fuel.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle(s). Regularly wash vehicle(s), inside and out.
- Follow the correct procedure in the event of an accident.
- Understand the SOS Organisation
- Become familiar with the background, philosophy, principles, policies and structure of the SOS organisation.
- Understand the different roles of the SOS staff team members.
- General
- Perform any other reasonable and lawful duties, as assigned by supervisor.
- Carry out all duties in accordance with the financial and administrative policies and procedures of the Association.
- Partake and take a lead in fundraising activities.
