The Procurement Assistant is located in Country Offices (CO) and reports to International Operation Manager.

Job Purpose:
The Procurement Assistant will provide program, administrative, procurement and logistical support to strengthen program and/or operation teams.
You would be responsible for:
- Develop, implement, and monitor procurement plans for the office and projects.
- Manage RFQs, ITBs, RFPs, bid evaluations, contract negotiations, and ensure compliance with UNFPA regulations.
- Prepare and manage purchase orders, contracts and vendor profiles.
- Develop and update supplier rosters, conduct supplier evaluations, and ensure proper stock levels of reproductive health supplies.
- Prepare inventory reports, monitor supplies and equipment usage, and oversee customs clearance and logistics support.
- Collaborate with the Ministry of Health to forecast needs, maintain stocks, distribute supplies, and ensure proper servicing of UNFPA-purchased equipment.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
Completed Secondary Level Education required. First level university degree desirable.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Completed secondary education with minimum 5 years relevant experience at the national level in programme/ project management.
- Proficiency in current office software applications and corporate IT systems.
Languages:
Fluency in English; working knowledge of Tetum and Bahasa is an added advantage.
