Functional Responsibilities
-
Review the large volumes of documents received from the different Consultant/contractors/Suppliers including contract documents, drawings, BoQs, etc, and extract the relevant information as required.

Develop calculation sheets using excel and google sheets as requested by the supervisor.

Support in the development and review of the different reports and presentations.

Collect the relevant information from the different sectors and develop TOR for satellite imagery reports.

Coordinate quality reviews for the project reports and deliverables.

Monitor the site visit plans and advise the contract management specialist on any changes or delays.
CDC Contracts
-
Under the overall supervision of the contract management specialist, take lead on the collection of required information, coordination with the finance specialist, conduct the site visits and provide all necessary support to the ANR sector team in order to complete the verification of the CDC contracts.
Technical Engineering Tasks
-
As directed by the supervisor, provided technical civil engineering support to the different sectors, (ANR, Health, Energy, Transport), including:

Conduct site visits to the projects sites and physically verify the completed works, and advise the site monitoring team on the best practices and approaches to check and verify the works.

Analyze the BoQs and drawings and calculate the quantities of the completed works.

prepare site visits reports.
-
Prepare maps and presentations using GIS tools.
Knowledge Management
-
If required, along with teams coordinators, support in the planning and coordination activities, and follow up on progress and quality of the products provided by the team members

Support the CMS and other team members in order to ensure that the process is running smoothly

Any other task assigned by the Supervisor
Education/Experience/Language requirements
a. Education
-
Advanced University (Master Degree or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or similar fiels, with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; OR
-
First level University degree (Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent) in Civil Engineering or similar field, with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
b. Work Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience, (or more based on education) defined as experience in planning, construction management, or contract management for civil engineering projects related to buildings, transportation or infrastructure.

Proven skills in claims analysis, verification and reporting is an asset.
-
Proven skills in contract administration and/or project management is an asset.
-
Experience working with FIDIC contracts or similar international forms of contract is an asset.

Experience within the international development and/or humanitarian sector will be an added advantage
Strongly Desired:

Experience in preparing and making public presentations and reports.

Excellent collaborative skills and flexibility/ability to understand the diversity of context

Self-motivated, versatile and organized
c. Language

Fluency in English (Read, Write and Speak) is required
