Site and Settlement CCCM Associate
Organizational Setting and Work Relationships
The main focus of the Site & Settlement CCCM Associate is to support a multi-sectoral response to assist and protect displaced populations in communal settings (collective centres, camps, sites, transit/reception centres, spontaneous and informal sites, etc.), where such are created or envisaged. However, as camps and communal settlements are temporary solutions established only as a last resort whilst all efforts are made to find more durable solutions, the Site & Settlement CCCM Associate does not advocate for the creation of camps, but supports the supervisor in improving the management of any relevant communal setting. Depending on the context and indirect or direct CCCM implementation nature of the role the Site & Settlement CCCM Associate assumes different roles.
