“Skills Development for Improved Employability” and “Strengthening Seasonal Agricultural Capacities in Rural Areas,” projects to be implemented under the Facility for Refugees in Türkiye (FRiT-III). The primary aim of the projects is to improve sustainable livelihoods and formal employment opportunities for refugees and host communities in Türkiye. To achieve this overarching goal, two specific objectives are established. The first objective focuses on enhancing employability by increasing the employability levels of refugees and host community members in non-agricultural sectors, with the establishment of the ATP serving as a key component in this effort. The second objective supports rural development by improving the employment status, employability, and working conditions of SMAWs in selected areas while enhancing the business viability and capacity of businesses and cooperatives in the agriculture sector.
3. Scope of Work
Implement internal/external communication strategies and outreach and contribute to their development.
- Prepare and conduct communication needs assessments for the projects and country office activities.
- Draft and edit communication and outreach strategies in alignment with project objectives, the UNDP External Communications Action Plan, and country office strategic priorities.
- Provide communication inputs during activity formulation to ensure communication needs are integrated into all stages of activity’s design and implementation.
Enhance Visibility and Media Engagement
- Maintain and increase media coverage and understanding of Project’s work in Türkiye through local and global media channels in coordination with UNDP Türkiye Communication Team adhering to the UNDP External Communications Action Plan.
- Promote public information campaigns on project activities to engage various stakeholders, including government, donors, and the public.
- Identify and develop storylines for publications, drafting substantive articles to generate dialogue on key development issues.
- Maintain a database of media contacts and liaise with journalists to ensure consistent engagement and outreach.
Manage Digital Communications
- Support the implementation of the digital communication strategy, ensuring content alignment across platforms.
- Generate and manage content for the project website, social media channels, and other digital platforms to enhance outreach and consistency.
Coordinate Publications and Knowledge Sharing
- Coordinate publication activities, including content management and alignment with corporate guidelines.
- Identify and synthesize best practices and lessons learned, contributing to knowledge networks and corporate communication repositories.
- Ensure that all knowledge products related to the projects are readily available and accessible for internal and external stakeholders.
Organize Campaigns and Advocacy Initiatives
- Support the organization of roundtable discussions, press conferences, launches, and other events to engage stakeholders and raise awareness of UNDP’s projects and goals.
- Collect and package information for donor reviews and advocacy initiatives, in collaboration with program teams.
Contribute to Knowledge Management and Capacity Building
- Assist in knowledge sharing and management through UNDP’s intranet and external platforms.
- Provide training, consultancy, and advice to UNDP project staff on internal and external knowledge management.
- Ensure consistent documentation and dissemination of project knowledge products.
4. Institutional Arrangement
The Communication Analyst works under the direct supervision of UNDP Projects Coordinator, matrix supervision of Head of Communications Team and collaborates closely with UNDP Türkiye Communication Team.
