Internship Overview
Jhpiego Internship program (JIP) aim at providing experiences to young professionals and mentor them into professional roles. This internship will provide an experience to a young professional to get good on the job experiences, the tasks involved are not critical and do not require a full-time staff to complete.
The Finance Intern will have hands-on experience and the ability to learn and gain work experience, which will support the candidate in the search and increase his/her experience in Finance tasks. The intern will benefit through having technical practical experience in financial management
Reports to: Manager - Finance
Mentor: Senior Manager - Finance
Location: Dar es Salaam
This position will be closed on December 24. 2024
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Examine financial documents such as vouchers, invoices, delivery notes, purchase orders and other
- documents to ensure the completeness, accuracy, and validity of financial data before payments
- are made as per DOA.
- Ensure every transaction processed in QuickBooks is updated in VAT Tracker
- Participate in pulling out documents during VAT reconciliation.
- Participate in pulling out of documents during VAT refund reconciliation.
- Filing and arranging finance documents processed on a monthly basis
Required Qualifications
Qualifications and Requirements
- Recent graduate with a bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Willingness to Intern, learn and gain workplace experience.
- Availability to start immediately and willingness to commit for at least three months
- Be of high integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Passion and desire to work with people at different levels and cultures.
- Good written and oral communication and presentation skills in Kiswahili and English.
- Computer literate in standard software including MS Office 365 (especially MS Word< MS Excel and MS Outlook)
