Senior Research Associate, Monitoring & Evaluation
The International Potato Center (CIP) is seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Senior Research Associate, Monitoring & Evaluation for the implementation of the Sweet Recovery Project (SWRP) to ensure that project activities are effectively monitored, evaluated, and documented. The M&E Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the project's M&E system, collecting and analyzing data, and preparing regular reports to inform decision-making and improve project performance.
The Position: The selected candidate will be based in Ambovombe, Madagascar and will report to the Project coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- M&E Framework Development: Design, implement, and ensure alignment of M&E frameworks with project goals.
- Data Collection & Management: Oversee data collection, validation, and management systems to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze data for insights, assess project performance, and prepare reports using effective visualization techniques.
- Learning & Knowledge Sharing: Document lessons learned, share findings, and contribute to knowledge products and publications.
- Collaboration & Coordination: Partner with staff, stakeholders, and M&E professionals to integrate and harmonize M&E practices.
Selection Criteria
- Master's degree in a relevant field, such as statistics, economics, agriculture, or social sciences.
- At least 8 years of experience in M&E, preferably in international development projects.
- Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis skills.
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis tools and software (e.g., ODK, SPSS).
- Excellent report writing skills.
- Experience working in rural development projects, particularly in agriculture.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Flexibility to travel and work in challenging condition
- Proficiency in English, French, and Malagasy, both in speaking and writing.Why should you consider this opportunity?
