Senior UNHCR Shop E-commerce Assistant
Organizational Setting and Work Relationships
The position is based within UNHCR’s Division of Financial and Administrative Management (DFAM). The incumbent works in the Global Mobility and Infrastructure Service (GMIS). This Service includes UNHCRs global asset and fleet management, travel as well as facilities and infrastructure management.
The UNHCR Shop functions alongside the Public Outreach and Campaigns core work. Its purpose is to procure, sell and dispatch core visibility and promotional items to UNHCR staff and operations worldwide. It supports the work of Public Outreach by providing items to support events and helps to ensure brand compliance across the full range of visibility items and merchandise. The overall aim of the UNHCR Shop is to increase sales, mobilise further financial support to UNHCR, increase awareness and empathy for forcibly displaced people.
The Senior UNHCR Shop E-commerce Assistant will be working for the UNHCR Shop to ensure each audience is delivered a high-quality engagement experience and support streamlined UNHCR Shop operations. The incumbent manages the webshop, keeps track of the inventory, creates and updates reports, and supports processing orders. As all other members of the team, the UNHCR Senior UNHCR Shop E-commerce Assistant is encouraged to actively engage in collaborative brainstorming sessions, proactively contributing creative insights and proposing innovative solutions to shape the shop’s future. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of Assistant UNHCR Shop Officer.

Duties
Update and maintain the website’s product catalogue, ensuring accuracy of prices, descriptions, images, and availability.
Manage the daily operations of the shop, including order processing and customer inquiries.
Monitor and optimize the website performance.
Analyze webshop data and metrics to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
Implement marketing strategies to increase traffic, conversion rates, and sales.
Coordinate the development of webdesign.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of goals and processes.
Work closely with the fulfilment partner to ensure timely dispatch of visibility items to the Field.
Report on key performance indicators.
Track inventory to ensure proactive reordering of key items.
Maintain excellent working relationships with teams in the Field and HQ.
Stay updated on the latest e-commerce trends, best practices and technologies.
Provide administrative support to Assistant UNHCR Shop Officer.
Support the identification and management of risks and seek to seize opportunities impacting objectives in the area of responsibility. Ensure decision making in risk based in the functional area of work. Raise risks, issues and concerns to a supervisor or to relevant functional colleague(s).

Desired Candidate Profile

They will also be responsible for processing orders and responding to customer inquiries professionally and efficiently, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction.
The candidate should be comfortable handling administrative tasks, such as data input, KPI reporting, and documentation management, and be adaptable to other related duties as required.

Remuneration:
In case of appointment, a competitive compensation and benefits package is offered.
G5 - Salary range: NET 684,443 HUF - NET 801,631 HUF.

Annual leave: UNHCR staff members holding a temporary appointment will accrue annual leave at the rate of 1.5 working days for each full calendar months of service (i.e. 18 working days per year).
Pension system: Staff members holding a fixed-term appointment will become participants in the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund (UNJSPF).
Health insurance plan: locally recruited staff members in Budapest will be enrolled in the Medical Insurance Plan (MIP). The coverage is also optionally available for eligible family members.
