ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an exceptionally driven and methodical Research Analyst to tackle complex, challenges in collaboration with leading global institutions. In this role, you will be at the forefront of research efforts, combining quantitative analysis, qualitative exploration, and problem-solving frameworks to deliver insights that inform strategies and drive systemic change.
Your core responsibilities will include breaking down ambiguous problems, identifying key research questions, and distilling findings into precise, actionable recommendations. You will play a pivotal role in producing outputs like data spreadsheets, policy briefs, reports, and presentations to influence decisions on critical issues such as climate resilience, misinformation, and public health. RESPONSIBILITIES
Research:
- Conduct rigorous, hypothesis-driven research, addressing complex topics such as climate resilience, misinformation, and public health.
- Apply structured methodologies to break down multifaceted problems, identify patterns, and validate findings through quantitative and qualitative analysis.
- Synthesise insights into actionable recommendations, tailoring outputs for policymakers, funders, and other senior stakeholders.
Insight generation and reporting
- Develop client-ready deliverables, translating complex data into impactful, evidence-based narratives.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to create strategically aligned research briefs, case studies, and white papers.
- Ensure that reports adhere to the highest standards of clarity, accessibility, and editorial precision. by applying data visualisation and storytelling techniques to articulate research findings.
- Partner with leadership to create presentation-ready insights that are tailored to client goals.
- Develop dashboards, charts, and other visual aids to communicate trends and insights clearly and persuasively.
Project & task management:
- Take end-to-end ownership of research streams, managing timelines, while ensuring that deadlines are met and deliverables are completed to the highest standard.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to ensure seamless collaboration and progress on research projects.
- Support operational tasks, helping to optimize workflows and maintain project momentum.
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
- Educational Background:
o Post-graduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, International Development, or a related field with a strong focus on analysis and research.
- Experience:
o 1–3 years of experience in policy analysis, management consulting, or a similar role.
o Experience in report writing, data analysis, and preparing client-facing documents
- Key Skills & Competencies:
o Proven ability to conduct rigorous research using both quantitative and qualitative methods, synthesising large datasets into actionable insights.
o Demonstrated experience in producing detailed written reports, policy briefs, and presentations tailored to technical and non-technical audiences.
o Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, capable of distilling complex data and ideas into concise, impactful messaging.
o An ability to break down ambiguous problems into solvable parts, identify trends, and validate recommendations with precision.
o Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, environment.
o A self-starter who anticipates challenges, actively seeks solutions, and adapts quickly to changing priorities or demands.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with data analysis tools such as SPSS, Tableau, or R is a plus.
o Strong ability to work independently while contributing meaningfully to collaborative projects.
- Bonus Skills:
o Previous experience in sectors like sustainability, public health, or misinformation research is a strong plus.
o Fluency in additional languages.
