Functional Responsibilities

Support for Knowledge Management Implementation
-
Assist in the operationalization and execution of the KM strategy as guided by the Knowledge Management Senior Officer.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge management systems and tools, ensuring they are aligned with organizational needs and best practices.

Support the implementation of KM activities, such as knowledge capture, documentation, and dissemination, under the direction of the Knowledge Management Senior Officer.

Conduct rudimentary analysis of KM needs and gaps within LIFT programs, identifying opportunities for improvement and sharing findings with the senior team.

Knowledge Capture and Documentation

Support the systematic capture of knowledge and lessons learned from LIFT projects and activities, ensuring documentation is accurate, accessible, and aligned with organizational processes.

Contribute to the development and maintenance of knowledge repositories and databases to ensure that knowledge is easily retrievable and organized.

Help identify and document best practices, innovations, and project insights that can be shared and applied across the team.

Knowledge Sharing and Dissemination

Assist in facilitating Communities of Practice (CoPs) and knowledge-sharing networks within LIFT, helping to connect team members and partners around shared learning goals.

Respond to queries from LIFT staff regarding knowledge management processes and tools, providing guidance on how to access and use knowledge resources effectively.

Support the dissemination of knowledge both within LIFT and with external partners, ensuring timely and efficient sharing of relevant information.

Organizational Learning and Capacity Support

Support the design and delivery of KM-related learning activities, such as workshops or training, aimed at enhancing the capacity of LIFT staff to engage with KM processes and tools.

Help track and document lessons learned from capacity-building initiatives to ensure continuous improvement in staff training and development.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that lessons learned from past projects and activities are integrated into ongoing and future work.
- 5. Monitoring and Reporting on KM Activities

Assist in the monitoring and evaluation of KM activities, tracking progress against established objectives and identifying areas for improvement.

Support the compilation of reports on KM activities, presenting key findings and recommendations based on analysis of collected data.

Contribute to the preparation of materials for senior management review, offering insights into KM performance and suggesting ways to optimize KM efforts.
Education/Experience/Language requirements
Education:
-
A Master’s degree preferably in Knowledge Management, Information Science, Communications, Business Administration, or similar fields is required.
-
A first-level university degree (Bachelor's), preferably in the above professional fields with one (1) additional year of relevant professional experience, could be considered in lieu of the Master´s degree.
Experience:
-
A minimum of 1 year of professional experience in knowledge management, information management, project management, communications, or similar fields is required.
-
Experience in contributing or supporting the design or delivery of learning, capacity building, or similar activities/initiatives is required.
-
Experience working with the UN or international organizations is highly desirable.

Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (e.g. MS Office newer versions, Google Suite Applications) is required.
Language Requirements:

Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
-
Proficiency in Burmese is required.
