Functional Responsibilities

Support to Programme development and planning
  • Significantly contribute to the development of nutrition interventions, plans and processes, ensuring alignment with LIFT 2024-2028 POA. 
  • Coordinate specific and defined nutrition projects and activities, ensuring a harmonized approach with wider LIFT programmes/projects aligned to the overall nutrition strategy.
  • Contribute to the preparation and review of project documentation, reports, and plans, ensuring alignment with LIFT’s strategic objectives and stakeholder requirements.
  • Provide technical support to programme teams on nutrition-related issues, offering advice on best practices, policies, and strategies to ensure high-quality results.
  • Participate in field visits when needed to provide relevant support to project implementation in the subject area.
Coordination and Stakeholder Engagement
  • Coordinate internal teams and external stakeholders involved in the subject area, including UN agencies, NGOs, and partners.
  • Coordinate meetings, events, and other nutrition activities. 
  • Track progress of nutrition activities, ensuring that stakeholders are supported and any challenge or issue is flagged to the Programme Management Advisor (Nutrition).

Monitoring and Reporting
  • Draft regular reports and analyses in the subject area.
  • Contribute to the monitoring and evaluation of nutrition projects by supporting data collection, analysis, and reporting of progress against set targets.
  • In coordination with internal LIFT teams, provide significant inputs to the monitoring and evaluation of nutrition activities, assisting in tracking indicators and milestones.
  • Compile and analyze data to measure the effectiveness and impact of interventions.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates to the Programme Management Advisor on nutrition activities and interventions.
Capacity Strengthening, Knowledge Sharing, and Innovation
  • Coordinate and facilitate capacity-strengthening activities for LIFT personnel, partners, and relevant stakeholders in the subject area.
  • Coordinate with the Knowledge Management and internal teams to facilitate nutrition knowledge sharing and benchmark from best practices that could be implemented at LIFT among stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and dissemination of tools and resources aimed at improving nutrition projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain records of activities, including reports, surveys, and meeting minutes, ensuring proper documentation for audit and review purposes in the subject area.
  • Apply innovative approaches to support the implementation and delivery of effective and efficient initiatives in the subject area.

Education/Experience/Language requirements

Education:
  • A Master’s degree preferably in public health, nutrition, food technology, or other similar fields is required. 
  • A first-level university degree (Bachelor's degree), preferably in the above fields with an additional 2 years of relevant experience, could be considered in lieu of the Master´s degree.
Experience:
  • A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in public health, food security, nutrition or other related projects or programmes is required.
  • Experience in  implementing development programmes focused on nutrition outcomes is required.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (e.g. MS Office newer versions, Google Suite Applications) is required.
  • Experience in implementation of nutrition sensitive interventions programmes is desirable.
  • Experience in developing or coordinating nutrition assessments or similar is a great asset.
  • Demonstrated skills in generating and compiling high-quality reports is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with diverse partners and external stakeholders is an asset.
  • Experience working with the UN or international organizations is highly desirable.
Language Requirements:
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required.
  • Proficiency in Burmese is required. 
  • Proficiency in other Myanmar languages is an asset.
