ORGANIZATIONAL BACKGROUND
African Youth Alliance Development Organization (AYADO) is a youth-led voluntary, interfaith, non-partisan Non-Government Organization registered with the National Bureau for Non-Governmental Organizations of Uganda with the registration Number INDR14949364NB and has been operating in Uganda since 2006. AYADO envision a world of hope, inclusion, and social justice, where poverty has been overcome, vulnerable communities are resilient, and everyone has equal rights and opportunities to live with dignity and security.
JOB DESCRIPTION & PURPOSE
The Volunteer/ Intern is responsible for supporting the planning, implementation and coordination of all activities in the respective sectors and ensure activities are implemented on time, on target and on budget.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIE
1- Support beneficiary identification, profiling, and development of a project participant database.
2- Participate in community feedback sessions through Integrated Village Meetings and other platforms.
3- Identify project beneficiaries, support mobilization, Sensitization and verification in with Local structures and in accordance with the laid down guidelines/rules and timeframe.
4- Coordinate project activities with sub-county authorities, government extension agents and other partners at the collaboration community level.
5- Networking and collaboration with other actors towards effective implementation of the respective components at field levels
6- Mobilize and support training of beneficiaries on selected topics.
7- Mobilize and facilitate the engagements of stakeholders during planning and development meetings, workshops and other fora’s.
8- Document and maintain records and forward issues to management for decisions and appropriate action in line with AYADO’s policies.
9- Support in minutes taking during staff and community meetings.
10- Support in documentation and sharing of Impact/success stories and best practices to promote learning.

Computer literate, especially in Ms. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and use of InternetExplorer Must be a committed person, able to stand above denominational diversities.
Ability to attend and participate/lead in weekly and monthly meetings and be able to Perform other duties as may be required.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
