Scope of work: The Nurse Supervisor will provide technical support and competency based supportive supervision to partner(s) health nurse staffs which include both mobile and static team. In additional to this, Nurse Supervisor will also assist to Health Manager and Capacity Building Team for partner(s) health staffs’ capacity development plan. S/ He will ensure that partner(s) health nurses are provided clinic care in accordance with standard protocols and guidelines. S/ He will also assist in monitoring and evaluation of project quality under the direct supervision of Health Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
I.Program Implementation, Supervision & Development
- Provide clinic technical and capacity building to partner(s) health nurse staffs in accordance with standard protocols and guideline.
- Conduct regular competency based supportive supervision and technical support to partner(s) mobile/ static clinic nurse staffs.
- Organize and provide regular on the job training to partner(s) health nurse staffs based on the result of competency based supportive supervision check list.
- Assist Health Manager and Capacity Building Team to identify essential technical capacity building plan for partner(s) health nurse staffs.
- Assist Health Manager and partner in drug stock management.
II.Monitoring, Evaluation and Reporting
- Participate in program monitoring and evaluation.
- Participate in partner(s) mobile and static mobile clinic monthly work plan.
- Monthly program narrative report to Health Manager.
III.Other
- Coordinate with program support teams to implement project activities in time.
- Assist Health Manager to provide procurement documents in advance as needed.
- In collaboration with other members of the health project team, participate in the design and implementation of formative assessments and baseline studies.
- Assist Health Manager for establishing diseases surveillance system and outbreak response as needed.
- Remain flexible to perform other duties as required or requested.
Minimum Qualifications:
Position Requirements:
- Licensed Nurse with Bachelor of Nursing or diploma of nursing
- At least 3 years of experience working with UN/INGO/LNGOs
- Experience and skills in managing, supervision and capacity building to health staffs
- Good communication skills
- Good written and verbal Myanmar and English skills (local ethnic language skill is favorable)
- Basic computer literacy
- Ability to work under stressful conditions
- Have ability to travel extensively to program implementing hard to reach areas
Myanmar nationals with relevant skills sets and proven experience of working at international level are strongly encouraged.
