The Logistics Department at OCA supports the overall purpose of MSF, providing logistics and technical support to OCA field operations. The department is responsible for providing strategic direction, integrated advice and hands-on support to logistics and technical issues in the field. The department is made up of the Field Support Unit (FSU), the Amsterdam Procurement Unit (APU) and the End-to-End Supply Chain Excellence Unit (E2ESCU).
The primary objective of the E2ESCU is to be a driving force behind supply chain improvement initiatives, aiming to achieve operational excellence, cost savings and improved satisfaction of the customers of OCA’s supply chain, which ultimately are the medical teams and their patients. The unit claims ownership of the integrated information systems and processes used to manage OCA’s supply chain from end to end (HQ and country programs). It is instrumental in the digital transformation of the supply chain and establishes a supply chain analytics function.
With immediate effect the E2ESCU is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic:
Business Analyst – Supply Chain (100%)
(Based in Amsterdam, another OCA partnering office location may be considered)
You are part of a small team that constitutes the End-To-End Supply Chain Excellence Unit.
The unit consists of Business Analysts and Supply Chain Specialists (5 FTE) and additional staff related to specific improvement projects as required. You will report to the coordinator of the unit.
In this role your knowledge, experience and hard work directly contributes to advancing MSF’s social mission: Assisting people around the world affected by conflict, epidemics, natural disasters, or exclusion from health care.
As successful Business Analyst – Supply Chain you will:

Contribute to the development, promotion and implementation of a vision on the supply chain systems and processes executed in the country programs, supply center and regional hubs;

Manage the requirements for the adequate functioning of these systems;

Maintain and develop add-on tools to support supply chain management processes.

Maintain and develop analytical reports and tools
Mainresponsibilities:
Systems and tools

Provide second line technical support on supply systems and tools to users in APU and country programs.

Manage development and improvement of supply systems and tools.
SupplyChainAnalytics

Develop analytical reports and indicators measuring performance of OCA’s supply chain;

Master analytical datasets and contribute to the development of advanced supply chain analytics;

Identify bottlenecks and propose improvement of processes and practices.
Project / Change management

Initiates and lead (continuous) improvement projectswith regard to supply chain systems and supply chain analytics.
Candidate Profile
You are a highly motivated, enthusiastic person with at least 4 years of professional experience. You have worked in an international environment, with daily collaboration with and within multicultural groups. Your way of working is organised and you are service-oriented, demonstrate initiative and follow up on issues and opportunities with tenacity.
Furthermore, you don’t shy away from providing hands-on support where it comes to implementing system improvements and assisting making the necessary error corrections/data entry in the system as required.

Higher vocational education/degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Data/Computer Science or related field;

Experience of management and introduction of supply chain systems (ERP, TMS, WMS);

Extensive expertise in supply chain processes and -management (e.g. CSCP or CLTD certification);

Experience in supply chain management with MSF or equivalent humanitarian organisation is considered a distinct advantage.

Experience in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g. SQL, Python, PowerBI, Databricks);
-
Project- and change management skills;
-
Fluency in English (speaking and writing) is required, mastering additional languages spoken in country programs (e.g. French, Arabic) an asset.
We Offer
If you are based in the Netherlands:
A Dutch employment contract, based on 40 hours per week. It is a one-year contract with a renewal option.
A gross monthly salary in scale 16 with a current salary range between 4,085 and 5,624 euros. Your exact salary will depend on relevant work experience.
