The Scope
To co-lead our Platform/Infrastructure operations management, DevOps initiatives, and infrastructure architecture/documentation efforts. The Position will play a critical role in optimizing our technology platforms, streamlining our development processes, and ensuring well-architected and well-documented infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the platform's architecture meets both technical and business requirements.
Main Roles & Responsibilities
• Lead the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices to automate provisioning, configuration management, and infrastructure changes.
• Foster a DevOps culture, driving collaboration between development and operations teams while championing automation, CI/CD, and best practices.
• Manage and maintain Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines for efficient software delivery.
• Scout opportunities and tools to automate the software delivery pipeline.
• Lead infrastructure architecture efforts, ensuring well-architected, scalable solutions, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
• Lead and Implement security measures to protect the platform and its data from vulnerabilities and threats.
• Oversee the documentation of infrastructure designs, configurations, and processes to maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge base.
• Lead architectural discussions, provide guidance to development teams, and handle additional tasks as agreed upon.
• Any other task as assigned by formal supervisor and project work as assigned according to special organizational needs.

Language and Communication Skills:
- A university degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics or suitable IT-related field.
- Master in IT related field is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.
Working Experience, Style, and Skills:
- Proven experience in platform management, DevOps Management, and Infrastructure architecture design/documentation.
- 4 -6 years’ relevant experience in roles related to platform management, DevOps, infrastructure architecture, or a combination of these areas.
- Experience with deploying CI/CD pipeline, DevSecOps technologies.
- A probing and analytical approach with the ability to pre-empt potential problems and identify inefficiencies.
- Proactive team player.
Computer Skills:
- Proven experience in platform management, DevOps Management, and infrastructure architecture design/documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Strong expertise in DevOps practices, tools, and methodologies.
Language and Communication Skills:
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
- German is a plus.

The Fine Print
- Location: Bonn, Germany.
- Working Hours: Full time - 40 hours per week.
