About this position

We are looking for a consultant to: i) work on the preparation of reports and management of systems, ii) perform information validation; and iii) support the day-to-day activities and front-office activities of the Risk Department, including but not limited to secretarial/manager assistant activities.

You will work in the Credit Risk Management Division part of Risk Management Department. This Division contributes to the generation, execution, and supervision of a portfolio of high quality, creditworthy, and environmentally and socially sound projects with significant development impact. Sectors include: infrastructure, water and sanitation, clean energy and climate change, green bonds and climate intelligent agriculture. The Division works closely with other organizational units of IDB Invest and IDB.

What you’ll do

  • Support the quarterly Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL) validation process, perform controls and prepare reports, analysis and conclusions to ensure accuracy and to facilitate decision making.
  • Oversee updates to credit risk scorecards including   sovereign ratings, local and foreign currency long-term ratings, industry risk scores, insolvency regime scores, default metrics, among others.
  • Monitor, prepare and distribute reports to ensure compliance with rating periodicity and processes.
  • Perform rating and LGD testing, including testing of new or updated scorecards.
  • Coordinate Portfolio Supervision Committee including agenda, documentation, and minutes including follow up on Committee decisions.
  • Update credit processes and diagrams in order to comply with the COSO Framework (Documentation of rating criteria, upload of financial statements).
  • Contribute to management information tools related to Credit Risk, including PowerBi reports, lessons learned products, including the management of the Risk Department and Division’s Portals.
  • Identify, map, diagnose, track, report and recommend streamlining opportunities or improvements to business processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness within the Division.
  • Provide support with day-to-day administration and front office activities.

What you'll need

•    Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent advanced degree) in in Business Administration, Finance, Engineering, IT or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role.  

•    Experience: At least 2 years of progressive experience in a similar position. You will also possess confirmed analytical skills and experience in seeking innovative solutions.

•    Languages:  Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Requirements

•    Citizenship: You are either a citizen of Peru or with residency or legal permit to work in Peru.

•    Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration

National consultant Full-Time, 6.5 months.
