Overview of position

Under the overall supervision of the Project Manager (PM) and direct supervision of the DA-MRRM National Project Officer (NO), the successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for assisting the NO and PM on a wide-range of issues associated with development and implementation of the Migrant Resource and Response Mechanism (MRRM) activities in Tripoli.

Role objectives

1.Act as the focal point to support the MRRM National Officer (NO) in the coordination of the (mobile and non-mobile) teams activities related to MRRM in the Area of Responsibility (AOR) in addition to the administrative related issues.

2.Support in monitoring the implementation of activities and ensure timely delivery of MRRM services in the targeted locations in Tripoli.

3.Monitor and verify the data collected related to migrants/beneficiaries registration and profiling, services provided (including distribution of NFIs, food kits, Hygiene kits etc.), and ensure proper tracking and reporting on regular basis in coordination with the Information management (IM) assistant and the DA-MRRM National Officer.

4.Support in the field activities reporting and send regular updates to the  NO and IM assistant as requested by the supervisor.

5.In coordination with the NO and the MRRM communication and community engagement staff, support the dissemination of the information awareness raising activities.

6.Support in the organization of community-based activities that promote to the Community Engagement and Two-Way Communications between migrants and host community.

7.Support the coordination with the various IOM Units (Direct Assistance, Health, VHR, DTM and Protection and CT) working in Tripoli to ensure appropriate assistance to vulnerable migrants.

8.Support the NO and PM in the development of partnerships with local actors including local government actors, embassies and other UN and I/NGOs partners working in these locations to maintain proper coordination of the activities implemented and avoid any duplication and to facilitate any referrals for support.

9.Support the MRRM communication and community engagement staff in preparing the visibility materials and collect all the photos of relevant activities, including the interest stories and quotes from the beneficiaries and other stakeholders.

10.Ensure proper monitoring of the staff performance under his/her direct supervision and support in their training and capacity building as required.

11.Assist in informal translation of project related documents (English and Arabic) and interpretation in and out the office.

12.Ensure gender mainstreaming throughout activities, addressing protection, social, environmental and other relevant cross-cutting concerns

13.Perform such other duties as may be assigned.
