About this position
We are seeking an energetic, detail-driven consultant to join the Administration & SLA Management team. Under the Lead Office’s guidance, you will support the seamless execution and monitoring of day-to-day administration services as defined by our SLAs—ensuring efficient processes and on-time delivery. This role also provides hands-on exposure to strategic project management and cross-functional collaboration, offering opportunities to broaden your expertise.
You will work in the Controllership Division (CTR), part of the Finance and Administration Department. CTR oversees accounting and financial reporting, financial planning & budget, valuations, and administration and service-level agreements (SLAs) management. It develops and implements high-quality controllership standards and sound and effective policies that ensure IDB Invest’s financial integrity, discipline, and long-term financial sustainability. We are also responsible for strengthening the overall governance, responsiveness, and accountability of the SLA framework, fostering coordination and collaboration between IDB Invest and the IDB.
What you’ll do
• Assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring project activities, milestones and checkpoints related to the IDB Invest’s SLA and Administration function.
• Support the coordination of meetings and workshops by preparing materials, gathering input, and documenting discussions and outcomes.
• Collaborate with IDB counterparts to execute and monitor SLA-defined administrative functions—procurement, facilities management, and corporate services—and proactively identify and implement efficiency enhancements.
• Analyze data, support benchmarking exercises, and organize information to support decision-making and advance SLA and Administration initiatives.
• Assist in the oversight and tracking of facilities management projects across Washington, DC, and Country Offices.
• Support the development of draft policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows and internal protocols related to corporate support services.
• Collaborate with colleagues across IDB Invest and the IDB to contribute to the effectiveness and continuous improvement of the Administration function.
• Provide input to the monitoring of SLA service delivery, including KPIs, costs, and quality indicators. Proactively identify risks or issues related to SLA performance and coordinate solutions with the SLA Lead Officer.
What you'll need
• Education: Master’s degree in business administration, finance, systems information, project management, or a related field required.
• Experience: At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in project management, corporate support services, or a related role within financial, multilateral, or international organizations. Proficient in project management tools, data analysis software, and the MS Office Suite; excellent organizational and analytical abilities.
• Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

Type of contract and duration
International consultant Full-Time, 12 months (up to 36 months).
