Health and Care Service Manager
Location: Swansea and surrounding area
Hours: 17.5 per week
Contract Type: Fixed term contract until end of March 2026
Salary: £28,507 per annum based on 35 hours per week
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle is essential (Business mileage will be reimbursed)

For over 75 years, the British Red Cross has supported the NHS and provided a lifeline for vulnerable individuals and supported people in crisis following an emergency. If you are organised and motivated then this is a fantastic opportunity to join our Health and Care team as a Service Manager. You will manage health and care services, ensuring all appropriate standards and requirements are met and service contracts maintained.
What does a day in the life of a Service Manager involve?
- Ensuring services are developed and implemented within the framework of national guidelines and to national expectations but flexed to meet local needs.
- Ensuring the area is working within Corporate Plan; service standards are achieved and maintained.
- Supporting developments and contracts.
- Quality and performance management.
- Line management of staff.
What does it take to be a successful Service Manager?
- Management experience and excellent organisational skills with an ability for prioritising your own & other people’s workload against competing deadlines.
- Experience of working in a health or social care setting or voluntary organisation and delivering high quality services to people in need.
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft 365; Outlook, word processing, presentation and spread sheet packages.
- Ability to prepare, manage and monitor budgets.
