About this position

We are looking for talented, proactive, and self-driven professionals to join the Operations Division to support IDB Invest transformation to its new business model.


You will work in the Operations Division of the Finance and Administration Department that covers the following teams: Transaction Services, Financial and Administrative Services, Treasury Operations and Operations Optimization and Support. This team is responsible for analyzing, documenting and optimizing operational processes to ensure efficiency, consistency and compliance within internal and external controls.   

What you’ll do

•    Document current business processes and workflows within the bank using BPMN and institutional templates.

•    Collaborate with various departments to understand and document their specific processes and needs.

•    Develop clear and precise SOPs to reflect process flows and business activities.

•    Conduct interviews and meetings with stakeholders to gather detailed information on existing processes.

•    Ensure timely completion of documentation projects in accordance with established deadlines.

•    Ensure that all documentation complies with the bank’s standards and regulatory requirements.

•    Identify areas of opportunity for streamlining processes to enhance efficiency and reduce redundancies.

•    Provide recommendations for process improvements and work with relevant stakeholders to implement changes.

What you'll need

•   Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Information Technology, or other fields relevant to the responsibilities of the role. 

•  Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process documentation, process mapping, or a similar role. Experience in banking or financial services industry preferred. Proven experience in using Microsoft Visio for process mapping and documentation.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and other process documentation tools.
  • Proficiency in Business Process Modeling Notation (BPMN).
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to create and manage timelines.
  • Familiarity with developing and drafting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Knowledge of banking processes and regulatory requirements is a plus.

•    Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English, spoken and written, is required. Additional knowledge of French and Portuguese is preferable.

•    Citizenship: You are a citizen of one of our 48-member countries.
•    Consanguinity: You have no family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at the IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Type of contract and duration

•    Type of contract: Products and External Services Consultant (PEC), Lump Sum 

•    Length of contract:  6 months

•    Work Location: Remote.
