Role Summary
Manage, monitor and evaluate the assigned health projects, reporting on the activities in line with the objectives, M&E plan, timeframe and budget. Encourage beneficiary participation, liaise with other stakeholders, and contribute to the development of new health project proposals and reports.

Emergency health projects providing primary health and nutrition support to displaced and vulnerable populations in Eastern Congo.
Workplace & Conditions
Bunia, DR Congo – Ituri Province. A middle-sized city with average living conditions.
Responsibilities:
Health Project Management:
• Support the management of the health projects to meet objectives within budget & time frame
• Develop and maintain good relations with local authorities, and beneficiaries, to raise awareness of Medair
Staff Management
• Line-manage the national health and nutrition staff, including day-to-day management, development and training.
Logistics and finance
• Liaise with logistics and finance staff to ensure correct procurement processes.
Quality Management
• Ensure that project activities are implemented in line with donor requirements and Medair standards.
Qualifications, Experience & Technical Competencies:
• Medical doctor or bachelor nurse with a public health degree
• Strong working knowledge of English and French (spoken and written)
• 2 years’ experience in a humanitarian context
Behavioural Skills
• Creative, open-minded, flexible, self-learner, with good understanding of cross-cultural issues
• Able to oversee multiple tasks, prioritizing and delegating as required
• Good communication skills
