ABOUT THE JOB

The AIM Searcher is responsible to work and support the AIM Section Leader in his day-to-day operation in the field safely according to the HDP AIM SOP 1.14.

Responsibilities:

  • Shall arrive for work on time and wearing the HDP uniform.
  • Shall ensure that their AIM clearance equipment is in good working order prior to leaving the Control Point.
  • Shall ensure that they are wearing the appropriate PPE prior to leaving the Control Point.
  • Shall report to the AIM SL/TL when losing the AIM Equipment.
  • Shall remove mobile phones and all metal and jeweler prior to daily AIM operation.
  • Shall conduct their work in a safe manner and as by the HDP SOPs.
  • Shall inform the AIM SL/TL when discovering a suspected AIM by raising their arm and calling out “STOP”.
  • Shall ensure that all equipment is maintained daily prior to departing the Control Point.
  • Shall be directly responsible and accountable for their issued equipment at all times.
  • Shall report any malfunctions or damage equipment to the AIM SL/TL immediately.
  • Shall participate in training as instructed by the RMAM/MAM.
  • Shall carry out other tasks as dictated by changing circumstances or as required by the AIM SL and TL.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role you must have:

Experience and technical competencies: 

  • 2 years’ experience in mine action program (Clearance, EOD, Survey and Demining operation).
  •  qualified EOD AMAS level 2

Education/qualifications:

  • High school
  • Medium School

Languages:

  • Pashto and Dari –fluency
  • English
