Organizational Setting

UTF/BRA/089/BRA
The project objective is to contribute to the national processes of strengthening family farmers in Brazil for poverty reduction and rural revitalization. The outcome is to implement differentiated policies and programs that improve the capacities of the national government, local and family farmers in areas such as ATER (rural extension and technical advisory services), Credit Programs, land access and governance, access to markets and the strengthening of cooperativism.


Reporting Lines

The incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil – Programme.


Technical Focus

To formulate innovative strategies and methodologies for planning, management and monitoring of the legislative and budgetary process that affect the target audience of the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture, incorporating experience in political articulation with popular and/or student movements as an element to qualify the institutional incidence in the spaces of deliberation and decision in the Legislative Branch


Tasks and Responsibilities

• Structure and improve strategies and management instruments associated with the activities of the Special Advisory on Parliamentary and Federative Affairs.
• To collect, systematize and analyze data related to the management of legislative processes in the Electronic Information System (SEI).
• Prepare strategy suggestions for the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture, based on the legislative procedural technical analysis of the monitored propositions.
• Consolidate and quantitatively analyze legislative monitoring data within the scope of the Federal Senate and National Congress.
• Qualitatively analyze the monitoring data, including data crossing, analysis of SEI processes, technical notes, positions and themes in evidence


CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING\:


Minimum Requirements

• University degree Economic Sciences, according to the CPES/CNPq table of areas of knowledge
• Minimum of 04 years of professional experience in the area of political articulation with popular or student movements.
• Working knowledge of English and Portuguese;
• National of Brazil or resident of the country with valid work permit
