Context
FAO Country Office for Timor-Leste (FATIM) aims to assist the Government of Timor-Leste to develop policies, programmes, and projects to achieve food security, reduce hunger and malnutrition, help develop the agricultural, fisheries and forestry sectors, and use environmental and natural resources in a sustainable manner.
FATIM seeks a Junior Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning Officer (Junior MEAL Officer) to enhance integrated monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system and measure efficacy and efficiency of the country programmes in relation to the CPF and UNSDCF priority areas, outcomes, outputs and indicators. The Junior MEAL officer is also expected to support the office’s visibility works, in close cooperation with communication office to share country experience, knowledge, and learnings with national and international stakeholders.

Task description
The Junior MEAL Officer will work under the overall supervision of the FAOR, and the day to day operational guidance of the Assistant FAOR (Programme), and technical guidance of the M&E Officer and Communications Officer, in regular consultation and close collaboration with programme team leads:
The Junior M&E officer, is expected to undertake the following tasks:
1. Support in development and implementation of an Integrated Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) system for the office;
• Support project teams in data entry to ensure data quality entered by the project teams into the Integrated M&E tools and analysis;
• Assist in the management of databases, indicators list that may improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the work;
• Participate in project monitoring through field visits.
• Provide technical support to the monitoring and tracking of results against CPF and UNDSCF;
2. Contribute to the publishment of the Country Annual Report;
• support project teams in formulation of FATIM annual progress report;
3. Support in sharing country team’s experience, knowledge, and learnings with national and in-ternational stakeholders;
• Support the planning, execution, and participation national events, forums, and activities to enhance FATIM programme visibility;
• Support communication officer in capturing and documenting project activities or events and publish a success story on the FAO global website and other FAO social media ac-counts;

4. Perform other duties as required.
