- Two (2) years in a multi-cultural organization or national organization providing support on a global scope.
- Position-specific experience:
- Knowledge of financial and payment instruments, rules, regulations, and procedures. Knowledge of IFAD processes would be an asset.
- Advanced knowledge in bank account reconciliation and accounting (journal entries, general ledger, accounting codes, assets and expenses accounts, etc.).
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft system is essential, and daily use of PeopleSoft financial modules. Knowledge of SWIFT financial system would be highly desirable.
- Highly skilled computer literacy, including database and capability to support testing and development of new treasury systems.
Languages:
- Required English (4 - Excellent)
- Desirable: French, Spanish, or Arabic (3 - Good)-

- Financial data integrity and financial systems, know-how in systems interface control, core banking system management, data mining and analytics;
- Disbursements, Payroll and Payments, Know-how in financial checks required for disbursements of loans and grants, payments and payroll transactions to reduce risk of error, fraud and non-compliance with rules, maintenance of clean vendor master files, arrears and debt management of loans;

- Digital Finance, FinTech and related, Know-how in fintech applications, robotic process automation, blockchain and digital finance applications to design, setup, implement and report;
- Financial reporting & accounting, Know-how in financial reporting, statutory and other reporting as well as advanced application of IFRS standards, derivatives, loan credit risk, financial regulations, policies, rules and procedures applicable to IFAD and IFIs;
- Analytical skill, Outstanding ability to analyse and synthesize qualitative and/or quantitative information from a variety of sources and filter out key insights and recommendations;

This call for interest is advertised as a short-term assignment with a duration of 11 months and is expected to start shortly after selection. If an external candidate (including consultants and staff members who do not meet IFAD HR Implementing Procedures' definition of 'internal') is selected, the contract will be that of a short-term general service staff. Conversely, if an IFAD staff member with a Fixed-Term contract is selected, the transfer will be processed as a Temporary Assignment in accordance with the applicable provisions. Applicants are advised to confirm with their supervisors and secure their support to be released for this assignment.
