INTERPOL’s Internship Programme welcomes candidates from any of our 196 member countries.
The Programme attracts talented students or recent graduates to the Organization and provides them with:
- A better understanding of the Organization’s goals and objectives and how international police cooperation is organized
- An insight into how an international organization operates
- A framework to enhance their educational experience through practical work assignments, thereby developing skills which are useful for their career and future employment
- Experience of working in a multicultural, multidisciplinary and multi-ethnic environment, contributing to the development of mutual understanding, trust and tolerance

As of 1 January 2025, the internship allowance is EUR 700 and a transport subsidy of EUR 30 per month. An additional housing subsidy of EUR 170 per month will be provided to eligible interns.
Interns are required to be subscribed to a health insurance coverage for the entire duration of the internship. However, they are eligible to request enrolment in the Organization’s health insurance coverage at no additional cost.

PRIMARY DUTIES
The Capacity Building and Training Directorate (CBT) provides range of products and services to INTERPOL’s member countries, aimed at equipping them with the knowledge, skills and best practices needed to meet today’s security challenges. This takes the form of digital training, through the INTERPOL Virtual Academy, face-to-face courses on specific topics and regional capacity building projects. The Directorate is also responsible for the Organization’s capacity building and training quality system, establishing related policies and guidelines, and providing support to INTERPOL units in their application.
Finally, the Directorate is responsible for the INTERPOL Global Academy, a global network of law enforcement education institutions, who assist in the delivery of INTERPOL approved training, contribute to the development of new courses, advise on new trends and policies and assist in implementing other training-related initiatives.
Throughout this internship the selected applicant will provide support to the Capacity Building Directorate by:
• Supporting the creation and editing of digital training videos
• Formatting training documents and PPTs according to set guidelines and the training’s visual identity
• Supporting the delivery of digital training, including small private online courses and educational webinars
• Drafting correspondence in English for law enforcement recipients in member countries
• Conduct open source research on a range of topics
• Supporting the drafting of a range of training-related reports and documents
• Supporting the Directorate’s administrative tasks, in particular as they relate to requests for support from other units
• Carrying out any other duty assigned by the supervisor
Working on the above, the selected applicant will:
• Develop skills on digital training creation and delivery
• Develop organizational and research skills
• Develop skills on working in a multi-cultural team
• Develop knowledge on international law enforcement cooperation
REQUIREMENTS
All candidates will be assessed on the basis of the under-mentioned requirements.
• Be a national of one of INTERPOL’s 195 member countries
• Have attained the legal age of majority in their country of nationality
• Adaptable to an international, multicultural and multilingual environment; good communication skills; and ability to work in a team.
Training/Education
• Be enrolled in, or have graduated from, a post-secondary accredited academic institution no later than the past one year, preferably in a field related to international relations, law enforcement, adult education, or digital training.
Languages
• Proficiency in English is required;
• A good command in any other INTERPOL official languages would be an asset.
Specific skills
• Ability to take initiative
• Basic knowledge of video-editing software
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
• Ability to work in a multicultural team
• Excellent drafting skills
In addition to the requirements, the following Assets and Special Aptitudes would be beneficial.
• Basic knowledge of e-learning authoring tools
• Basic knowledge of the principles of adult education
• Basic knowledge of international law enforcement cooperation

If you are considered at a further stage of the selection process (interview) we advise you to familiarize yourself with the procedure for requesting such documentation in the concerned countries so that, if accepted, your arrival to the Organization is not unnecessarily delayed.
