Context
IFC seeks to appoint a UN Youth Volunteer as a Country Program Analyst to support the Country Management Unit by conducting in-depth research. The role aims to identify growth opportunities in priority sectors and support IFC industry teams and management in monitoring and growing IFC’s portfolio in South Africa.
Task description
Under the direct supervision of the Principal Country Officer, the UN Youth Volunteer will undertake the following tasks:
Research and Analysis:
• Provide support in conducting in-depth research to identify opportunities in priority sectors where IFC can grow;
• Provide support with documenting potential impact stories based on research findings to illustrate the benefits and outcomes of IFC's involvement;
• Supported mapping key sectors, events, and opportunities to position and expand IFC’s footprint in new growth areas.
Reporting and Documentation
• Contribute to monthly and quarterly updates and briefs on the country program, including investment, advisory services, and country economics (e.g., Country Private Sector Diagnostics - CPSDs);
• Assist in compiling country briefs for senior management in preparation for annual and spring meetings, as well as in-country visits by senior management and executive di-rectors.
Presentations and Strategic Support:
• Assist in the development of detailed presentations on strategic topics or for meetings where IFC will engage, ensuring that all relevant information is clearly communicated;
• Prepare talking points and background research to prepare senior management for participation in key high-level events.
