About this position

We are looking for an organized, innovative, and collaborative Digital Learning Management Consultant. As a consultant, you will coordinate online course development projects across various modalities, manage CredencialesBID activities, and support data analysis initiatives to optimize our learning solutions.

 

You will work in the Virtual Classroom team, which is part of the KLD (Knowledge and Learning) division. This team is responsible for designing and implementing high-quality learning solutions that contribute to strengthening technical capacities in priority areas for the IDB, managing the digital credentials system (CredencialesBID), and evaluating the impact of applied learning through the MEiRA framework

What you'll do

Manage multiple virtual course development projects across various modalities (self-paced, tutor-led, OERs), ensuring compliance with deadlines and quality standards.

· Coordinate CredencialesBID activities, including creation, issuance, and tracking of digital credentials.

· Support data analysis initiatives to generate reports and insights on course and participant performance.

· Coordinate the work of PEC consultants who support various Virtual Classroom activities.

· Collaborate in implementing the MEiRA framework for impact evaluation and recognition of applied learning.

· Ensure compliance with digital accessibility standards in all developed materials and courses.

· Participate in integrating Generative Artificial Intelligence to optimize instructional design processes.

· Contribute to optimizing administrative and technical processes related to the learning platform.

What you'll need

Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Project Management, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or other fields relevant to the position's responsibilities.

· Experience: At least 2 years of solid experience in managing teams and digital learning projects across various modalities, especially valuing experience in multiple environments with emphasis on professional development courses.

· Languages: Proficiency in Spanish and English with ability to work in both languages.

Knowledge of Portuguese will be valued positively. 

Requirements

 

  • Citizenship: Citizen of an IDB member country.
  • Consanguinity: Does not have family members (up to the fourth degree of consanguinity and second degree of affinity, including spouse) working at IDB, IDB Invest, or IDB Lab.

Contract type and duration

  • Contract type: Full-time consultancy.
  • Duration: 12 months, Tentative starting August 1, 2025.
  • Work Location: If international, Headquarters (Washington, D.C), whereas if national 100% remotely from place of residence of selected candidate and services are expected to be provided from a country where the IDB Group has offices.
