Organizational Setting and Reporting Relationship

The position of Associate Investment Officer is assigned to the Trade and Supply Chain Division (TSCD) within the Private Sector Operations Department (PSOD). You will be based at our Headquarters in Manila, Philippines.

You will report to the designated Technical International Staff and Senior Officer, as applicable.

Your Role

As an Associate Investment Officer, you will contribute to the management of TSCFP's portfolio operations, support its middle and back office, and collaborate with different ADB departments and external clients.

You will:

  • Manage portfolio analytics of TSCFP results by providing detailed analysis and presentations for TSCD management and other partners.
  • Produce reports on TSCFP performance, including exposures, risk transfers, profit and loss, and development impact statistics.
  • Support the TSCFP Front Office in managing the TSCFP portfolio, monitoring profit and loss, and maintaining client limits.
  • Assist the TSCFP Middle and Back Office with daily transactions by offering guidance on limit use and headroom monitoring.
  • Oversee administration of risk participation and risk transfer arrangements with partner international banks and multilateral and bilateral organizations involved in the TSCFP.
  • Contribute to the automation projects and provide operational expertise on different system enhancements related to portfolio management, including defining business and integration requirements and user acceptance testing.
  • Support the Principal Technical local staff in the management of the TSCD Portfolio Management team, including the equitable distribution of workload and task assignment among team members.

Qualifications

You will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, economics, or related fields; preferably with advanced training
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the area of trade and supply chain finance.
  • Excellent data analytics skills.
  • Strong management and supervisory skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.

Additional Information

This is a fixed-term appointment for an initial fixed period of 3 years. At the end of the initial period, this appointment may, at the option of ADB, be extended once for up to 2 years, converted to a regular appointment, or ended on its expiration date. This decision will be made in the overall interest of ADB that: (a) it will require Staff's particular blend of skills and experience in the foreseeable future; and (b) Staff's performance is satisfactory and they are suitable for further employment.
