Result of Service
The Intake Assessment Assistant will contribute to the effective functioning of the Central Intake Unit (CIU) by supporting the timely and accurate assessment of misconduct allegations. The incumbent will ensure that allegations are clearly documented and assessed in line with established procedures and due process standards. Through the preparation of written assessments, conduct of preliminary inquiries, and support to the UNRWA complaints hotline, the Assistant will help maintain the integrity, accuracy, and confidentiality of the intake process. Additionally, the Assistant will ensure proper registration and reporting of complaints, contributing to comprehensive data management and efficient coordination within the Department of Internal Oversight Services (DIOS)

Duties and Responsibilities
• Assists the Central Intake Unit (CIU) Investigations Officer (Intake) in the efficient organization and administration of the Agency's misconduct intake process in matters related to the assessment of allegations of misconduct; • Prepares and drafts written assessments of allegations of misconduct including breach of neutrality and clearly outlines the available information; • In compliance with due process requirements, makes information-based inquiries and/ or interviews with diligence to ensure confidentiality and accuracy of evidence gathered and impartiality of conclusions reached; • Supports UNRWA Hotline Officer in handling complaints whilst ensuring complaints across all field offices are appropriately maintained and registered; • Registers complaints of non-misconduct received by DIOS in the designated complaint registry and provides a regular update to the DIOS lnvetsigation Officer on the data statistics; • Performs other tasks as required.
Qualifications/special skills
- A University degree from an accredited educational institution in Law, Investigations, Human Resources, Management, Communication, Business or a related discipline. - At least one year of relevant experience in supporting investigation or administrative inquiries, communications or related field - Experience working in the United Nations is preferred. - Experience working in intake/investigation related disciplines is highly preferable.
Languages
Excellent demonstrated command of spoken and written English and Arabic.
