Context
This volunteer assignment is supported by the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia as part of an initiative in partnership with the United Nations Volunteers (UNV) program to enhance youth inclusion, with a focus on the inclusion of young people with disabilities (2024-2026). Therefore, applications from young people with disabilities who meet the required qualifications are strongly encouraged.
UN Women Tunisia and Libya is actively scaling up its communication and advocacy efforts to promote gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls. With an increasing focus on multimedia engagement—particularly towards youth and digitally connected audiences—the organization is prioritizing the production of high-quality, innovative, and accessible visual content.
The UN Volunteer will support UN Women’s communication strategy by creating digital materials that amplify the visibility and impact of key initiatives, including the "Safe Cities for Women and Girls" programme, the "Dare to Care" campaign promoting men's engagement in caregiving roles, and projects focused on the economic empowerment of rural women.
This assignment will involve contributing to the design and production of social media content, communication toolkits, visual assets for campaigns and events, and multimedia storytelling. Through this role, the UN Volunteer will help strengthen UN Women's outreach efforts, promote gender-transformative narratives, and engage a wider and younger audience across Tunisia.
Moreover, the assignment offers a professional development opportunity aligned with UN Women's youth engagement strategy, supporting the involvement of young talents in advancing the gender equality agenda through creative communication.
