Context

The UN system is implementing the UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework (UNSDCF) for 2021-2025 aligned to the Third National Development Plan (NDP III) and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The UN General Assembly Resolution 72/279 on the repositioning of the UN Development System, positions UNSDCF as the single most important UN country planning instrument in support of the 2030 Agenda.

Both the implementation of the current UNSDCF and preparation of the new one requires a highly dynamic and dedicated team to support the analysis, strategy formulation and visioning of the UN’s support to Government of Uganda. Based in the UN RCO in Uganda, the role of the Economic Policy Associate will support in providing evidence-based economic policy analysis and development partner engagement to support the implementation and achievement of SDGs in Uganda.
