CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Learning Content and System Administrator, to work in the CIMMYT Academy.

The position will be based at CIMMYT headquarters in Texcoco, State of Mexico, near Mexico City.

Specific duties:

  • Manage and Admin the day-to-day operations of the LMS, including user account setup, course enrollments, access permissions, and system configurations.
  • Monitor LMS performance and provide technical support to users, ensuring a seamless learner experience.
  • Coordinate system updates, data migrations, and integrations with third-party tools (e.g., SSO, HRIS platforms).
  • Upload, organize, and maintain digital learning assets (videos, SCORM packages, PDFs, quizzes) across the LMS and other learning platforms.
  • Ensure that learning content is consistently tagged, version-controlled, and aligned with metadata/taxonomy standard
  • Work closely with instructional designers, subject matter experts (SMEs), and program leads to support the deployment and maintenance of digital learning activities.
  • Publish and update learning content in multiple formats (asynchronous, blended, self-paced, etc.), ensuring technical compatibility across devices
  • Generate and distribute reports on learner engagement, completion rates, and content usage using built-in LMS analytics tools.
  • Provide data insights and dashboards to help measure training effectiveness and identify improvement areas.
  • Conduct regular functionality testing for newly developed or revised learning modules.
  • Identify bugs or usability issues and coordinate resolution with internal IT teams or external vendors.
  • Serve as a first-line support contact for technical issues related to content access, progress tracking, or system navigation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Instructional Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience administering Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Opigno, Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, or similar.
  • Experience managing digital learning content (SCORM, xAPI, HTML5, etc.) and supporting virtual or blended learning environments.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in teams are essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with content authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Rise, H5P, Adobe Captivate).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and basic knowledge of data reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power Bi.
