📌 Type of Contract: Internship Agreement

➡️ Unit / Division: Protection, Gender, Accountability of the Affected Population Unit (PGAAP) / WFP Ukraine  

📍 Duty Station: Kyiv

➡️ Duration: 6 months (with a maximum of 8 months) 

🇺🇦 The position is only open to Ukrainian nationals

What will you do in this position? 

You will learn more about Protection and Gender and get a better understanding of the United Nations through experience in the World Food Programme

How can you make a difference? 

 

In this position, you will have to:  

  • Assist in organising events, trainings, missions, and workshops, ensuring smooth logistical coordination
  • Provide technical and logistical support during PGAAP-led training sessions, workshops and refreshers.
  • Support the design process for awareness materials by assisting in communication with the illustrator and ensuring the timely delivery of visuals.
  • Attend inter-agency meetings, prepare minutes and presentations as needed
  • Compile, analyze and prepare draft mission reports
  • Provide support to the field office Protection focal points upon request
  • Perform other related duties as requested

Education: To be considered for an internship with WFP, applicants must meet one of the following requirements listed below:

  • Be currently enrolled in an undergraduate programme (for example, a Bachelor’s degree) from a recognised university and have completed at least two years of a social sciences, anthropology, sociology, political science etc. programme. Candidates should have attended classes in the past 12 months OR
  • Be currently enrolled in a graduate programme (for example, Master's degree) from a recognised university and have attended classes in the past 12 months OR
  • Be a recent graduate from an undergraduate or graduate programme (within six months prior to the application to the internship programme) from a recognised university and have attended classes in the last 12 months of enrolment in the university.

Experience:  basic volunteer experience or participation in projects during your studies

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Ability to draft documents in clear text in English and Ukrainian
  • Basic data analysis skills
  • Interest in Humanitarian work, Protection and Gender matters

Languages:   Fluent in English and Ukrainian
