About the role:
The HALO Trust is the world’s largest and oldest international humanitarian mine action charity. Our mission is to save lives and restore livelihoods for those affected by conflict. HALO is known for its work to clear landmines and the disposal of other explosive hazards such as bombs, rockets, and improvised explosive devices (IEDs). The charity was established in Afghanistan in 1988 and now employs over 11,000 staff across 30 countries and territories.
We are seeking to fill a paid internship position with a tech-savvy recent graduate/student who has a demonstrable website experience. Reporting to our digital management team, the successful candidate will gain invaluable insight in how we harness digital platforms to share our stories, promote our work and inform our digital fundraising strategy.
The role would last for approximately 3 months and be full time. HALO working hours are Monday to Thursday 8:30-17:30 with Fridays having an early finish of 15:30.
This position is hybrid with mostly working remote and one day per week in London or Salisbury is required.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist with HALO’s website transformation project
- Editing content and republishing in new templates
- Conducting data monitoring and analysis
- Contribute to new audience research activities
- Conduct competitor and corporate analysis for benchmarking
- Community management for social media
- Complete the revision of the metadata on HALO’s online photo library
Requirements
Applicants should possess a positive attitude and be highly organised, flexible, self-motivated, and detail-orientated, with a strong interest in the non-profit and international development/humanitarian sector. We are looking for the following:
- Proven experience managing content and using a CMS
- Demonstrable experience of analytic tools eg GA4, Screaming Frog, Search console.
- A strong digital advocate, comfortable with data and metrics for reporting
