Your team
Your role
- provide strategic advice to your clients and, together with them, lead strategic initiatives aimed at enhancing organisational performance, such as workforce planning, leadership and staff development, talent management, organisational design, succession planning, staff engagement and well-being;
- build strong collaborative relationships with leaders at all levels in your assigned business areas to become a credible and trusted partner;
- collaborate with relevant specialist teams both within HR and in other business areas, not only to deliver a holistic approach to the full suite of HR services but also to improve and streamline policies and processes;
- participate in and contribute to a flow of information within HR that fosters a better understanding of specific business needs, working together to turn issues into opportunities;
- draw on your extensive HR knowledge to share best practices and market trends, creating innovative solutions for people management and business decisions;
- provide a broad range of metrics, analysis and reporting to your business areas;
- together with our Diversity and Inclusion Ambassadors, drive the inclusion and diversity agenda of each business area across all HR levers (talent, reward, culture, learning, etc.) to create an inclusive culture in which every employee feels valued for their uniqueness and can maximise their impact.
Qualifications, experience and skills
- a master’s degree or equivalent, preferably in human resources management, occupational psychology, organisational behaviour, employment relations, business administration, law or another relevant field (see How you can join us for details on degree equivalences);
- in addition to the above, at least three years of in-depth, hands-on HR experience, preferably as an HR business partner, employee partner or talent acquisition partner or in a similar role, in fields such as workforce planning, talent management, leadership development, succession planning, career development, coaching and organisational and/or business strategy design;
- negotiation and interpersonal skills, with the ability to think strategically, and an innate interest in understanding business drivers, enabling leaders to add value;
- business acumen and an ability to build and maintain genuine relationships with a multitude of stakeholders and business leaders at various levels of seniority, based on mutual trust and respect;
- familiarity with the use of data to extract insights and translate them into impactful decision-making;
- a sound understanding of the activities and functioning of a public institution such as the ECB;
- an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
- experience of leading projects and other initiatives as well as of change management and driving change;
- coaching or counselling experience;
- hands-on experience in facilitation, organisational design and/or business strategy design.
